Immediate Disk Maintenance Hera (USA) Server- Starts Tonight!

We want to notify all customers hosted at our HERA (Server Primary IP 104.156.55.181) server that tonight, December 22nd, 2019 from 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM , there will be a scheduled maintenance for approximately eight hour.

APT COM behalf of ihostman will be using this time to run disk maintenance. We have noticed that the server’s primary SSD drive is failing and need to be replaced with a brand new drive. We are going to clone the existing drive to new drive.  This process requires a good amount of time thus We have set the maintenance window to 8 hours.  We need to perform this immediately to avoid full disk failure. We have scheduled this maintenance window on off-peak hours so that We can ensure smooth transition.

Please note again, during the maintenance window server will be taken down completely and no service will be accessible. We expect no data loss during the maintenance.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. As always, if you have questions or issues, please submit them to support@aptctg.com

For any immediate concerns please connect with us over Live Chat service available at our Website.

How to Disable Gutenberg of Your WordPress Site?

The easiest way to disable Gutenberg is to install my free plugin, Disable Gutenberg. It is a simple plugin focused on one thing: disabling Gutenberg and restoring the default classic WP Editor screen. Just enable the plugin, choose your options and done. Options include:

  • Disable Gutenberg completely (all post types)
  • Disable Gutenberg only on specific post types
  • Disable Gutenberg for specific user roles
  • Disable Gutenberg for any theme templates
  • Option to hide the “Try Gutenberg callout nag
  • Option to hide the Gutenberg menu item

So it’s flexible yet simple, and super easy to use.

To create a child theme for your theme, you will need to do the following steps:

  1. Create a theme directory in your WordPress install
  2. Create a stylesheet with information about your child theme
  3. Pull in the styles of your parent theme

Once these steps are completed you can activate your child theme and your website will look exactly the same as before, but it will be using your child theme.

So let’s go through the above steps in detail. For this example, I will be creating a child theme for the Twenty Fourteen default theme.
