How long does it take for DNS (Domain Name Server) propagation

Domain Name Propagation. Name server changes usually take 24 to 48 hours to fully start working. This period, called Domain Name Propagation, is the projected length of time it takes for root name servers and cache records across the entire web to be updated with your website’s DNS information. Because of propagation, not all visitors will be directed to your new name servers on your new hosting account; some visitors will continue to be directed to your old name servers on your old hosting account until propagation is complete.

How quickly visitors are directed to the new name servers depends on their physical location, internet service provider and some luck; it is not something APT COM and iHem has control over. Once propagation is complete, your site will appear on our server and your email will be fully functional.

There is no definitive way to tell when propagation is complete. During the first 48 hours, even if you are able to see your site on the new server, your next door neighbor might still be seeing the site on the old server.

Introducing Cloud Linux

Cloud Linux server Introducing by APT COM. We are proud to announce Cloud Linux Server is installed on our shared Servers.
CloudLinux is a revolutionary Operating System that allows each cPanel account on our servers to have its own CPU allocations. With a standard Linux installation, a single user can cause issues for everybody else on the server, where as with CloudLinux that account would be limited to their own CPU allocation and would not cause issues for everybody else on the server.
One of the largest benefits of CloudLinux is that it will keep a single account from overwhelming a server and causing slow performance or downtime. Each and every account is limited to a maximum of 1 CPU Core instead of having free and open reign to system resources, and since we run high end servers with upto 16 cores this effectively means that it’s extraordinarily unlikely for the server that your account is on to become slow or unresponsive due to the actions of one, or even a handful of customers.

CloudLinux + cPanel =

Improved stability by limiting the resources any single user can consume
In shared hosting, the most common reason for downtime is a single account slowing down other accounts on the server. Using cPanel & WHM software with CloudLinux utilizes innovative Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE) technology, improving the density and stability of your shared hosting environment for all tenants.

Immediate Disk Maintenance Hera (USA) Server- Starts Tonight!

We want to notify all customers hosted at our HERA (Server Primary IP 104.156.55.181) server that tonight, December 22nd, 2019 from 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM , there will be a scheduled maintenance for approximately eight hour.

APT COM behalf of ihostman will be using this time to run disk maintenance. We have noticed that the server’s primary SSD drive is failing and need to be replaced with a brand new drive. We are going to clone the existing drive to new drive.  This process requires a good amount of time thus We have set the maintenance window to 8 hours.  We need to perform this immediately to avoid full disk failure. We have scheduled this maintenance window on off-peak hours so that We can ensure smooth transition.

Please note again, during the maintenance window server will be taken down completely and no service will be accessible. We expect no data loss during the maintenance.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. As always, if you have questions or issues, please submit them to support@aptctg.com

For any immediate concerns please connect with us over Live Chat service available at our Website.
